St Paul’s Lodge 500 of A.F. & A.M. is pleased to sponsor “The First Annual Heroes Run for Hope 5 mile run, 2 mile walk”.  During the September stated meeting the Lodge voted unanimously to support this event. The Heroes Run for Hope is on Saturday, October 4th, 2008 at 8:00 AM.  The race starts at the Chatham Square with the finish and post race party at Chatham South Park.  All proceeds to benefit the Marrow Foundation of which our donation will go to directly.  For more information on the Marrow Foundation, go to www.marrow.org.  In appreciation of our donation the event the races home page http://www.heroesrunforhope.blogspot.com will display a link and thank you to Lodge 500’s website http://stpauls500.org/default.aspx. All race packets handed out to the participants will contain a Masonic pamphlet of some sort and Lodge 500 contact information.  Along with the donation, Brother Marshal John Nelson, Brother Senior Steward Jason Johnston, and Brother Junior Deacon Steve Nordyke will all be donating their time both race day and at the early registration and packet pick up.  Hopefully this will get Lodge 500 out in the community and stir up some interest in our Blue Lodge.  So come on out and join us, there is still time to volunteer or even sign up for the race!
